Document Preparation and Formatting

All submissions must adhere to the following:
APA style, 12 point, Times New Roman font, double spaced, numbered pages, with one inch margins. See APA Guidelines here: https://apastyle.apa.org/

  • Each proposal should contain
    • Proposal Title (maximum 15 words)
    • Proposal Abstract (maximum 120 words)
    • Proposal Body (maximum 750 words, references excluded): See individual format requirements above.
    • References (excluded from word count)
  • Prepare two proposals in PDF format.
    • One should be blinded (removing information by which reviewers could identify the author, e.g., your name, university name, specific location, grant numbers), and the other unblinded (with author identification restored). For the blinded version, replace self-citations with (Author, Year) (e.g., “(Author, 2024”), and list these blinded citations (e.g., “Author, 2024”) at the top of the Reference List.
    • When naming your PDF files, please include the first few words of your title, session format, and blinded/unblinded. (For example, “Negotiating Social Justice Teaching_Scholarship Incubator_Blinded”).
  • In the online submission portal, you will be asked to: (a) provide author contact identification; (b) enter your Proposal Title and Abstract; (c) indicate your session format (e.g., workshop); (d) select up to 5 keywords to help us find a reviewer well-matched with your proposal; (e) upload your blinded and unblinded PDFs,  paste your title and abstract directly into a field in the online submission portal; and (e) ensure all Proposal authors are currently SEEDS members.
